Gloucester Terrace (West end Newcastle)

This was one of the last and toughest locations to find. This street has had two names in its time, today it is called Gloucester Terrace and from an old map I have (1914) it's called Wentworth Place. They are both mentioned in Wolfgangs Suschitzky production notes. These houses are clearly derelict during the filming and they are long gone now. This location was given to me by an unlikely source from somewhere down London I believe and it was taken from the actual production notes of the cinematographer. I was given the whereabouts of it by a girl who is a researcher for a popular TV programme. She gave me the street name, scene number and everything. I was impressed. If only I had spoken to her a bit sooner huh?
The tree is the only thing that remains in both pictures today.
