Ken Hailes Turf Accountants

Ken Hailes was on Argyle Street in Hebburn.
Long gone now, but there was a local man on hand to tell me exactly where it once stood. Here the film has perfect continuity in relation the geography of the area. Coming from the Ferry, calling into the Cafe then onto the bookies is exactly what you could have done in 1970.  An example maybe of Hodges utilising the locations on hand because originally Albert's death scene was supposed to be filmed at his allotment.
